Remote Learning
In the event of school closure or that your child is self-isolating, we will be using Seesaw to keep in touch with your child and will be assigning them with a minimum of three pieces of work every day which may look something like this:
Reading
Reading response or writing activity
Maths activity
Topic Task - linked to the children's science, geography, history or art topic
Physical activity
Instructions for children to login into their Seesaw journal are on their unique Home Learning Code letter, so please help your child to access this app and complete the tasks. Not all tasks have to be completed within Seesaw, but we will use this channel to explain the tasks. If you have limited access to devices, you can download the app on a mobile phone to view the tasks and the children can complete them in their book.
In addition, if your child is unable to come to school due to illness and is feeling up to it we have provided a list of resources below which you can explore with the children. This list will be evolving, so please check regularly.
Children can also access Reading Eggs and Timetable Rock Stars as they would do in school.
Online Resources across all subjects
Please encourage children to extend their school learning by following up on topics, ideas and the things that interest them. This is a great time to encourage your child to develop their own passion - art, music, dance, sport, computing, science, design. All of our children enjoy their own favourite things so it is great to follow their interests too.
