In the Autumn term of 2022, we reviewed our Vision and Mission statements. This process took place over six weeks and involved seeking the views of parents, teachers, and children.
As part of this process, our community identified that at Amherst, we talked about many values that, as a community, we worked to embody. However, these had never been clarified and chosen by the community. As a result, the whole community identified six core values from a list of over 20. Children, teachers, and families voted, and we launched our core Values along with our Mission and Vision statements in October 2022.
At Amherst, we nurture and develop the values, knowledge, and skills our children need to flourish and make a positive difference in our community and the world.
